Mike McGuire

Mike is from Hamilton, AL.  His career began as a child drummer banging on his Mom’s pots and pans.   At 12 his brother Bud, bought him his first set of drums and the music bug bit hard.  Countless days and hours of practicing in his bedroom paid off when Mike joined a local band in Muscle Shoals who later became Shenandoah.

Today Mike is VP of Creative for our companies, handling the daily production duties for Wishbone Studios, Sugar Bend Music Publishing & McGuire Productions.  He has been in the business professionally over 25 years and is still drummer, and a founding member of the Grammy Award Winning Country Supergroup, Shenandoah.  He also plays on recording sessions and has become known as one of the best vocal coaches in the business.

As an artist, credits include 13 number one songs with Shenandoah.  As a songwriter/publisher, his songs have been recorded by everyone from Reba McEntire, Hank Williams Jr. and B.J. Thomas to The Oak Ridge Boys, Gene Watson, Dobie Gray, Johnny Lee and T. Graham Brown.
